The 2016 QVCC Foundation Annual Scholarship Process
$135,000 in scholarship money will be awarded at Scholarship Night, May 4, 2016.
|Who Can Apply|
Most scholarships are available to students who will attend QVCC in the 2016-2017 academic year and have a
GPA of 3.0 or better. We recommend that scholarship applicants carefully review individual scholarship criteria.
How to Apply
The deadline for scholarship applications has passed.
The only way to apply is online. The application process for 2016-2017 scholarships runs February 1-March 11, 2016.
Complete Additional Application Materials
After you have completed the online application, print and complete the additional FOUR scholarship forms which include: signature page, a personal statement, an academic letter of recommendation and a character reference. Personal statements and letters of recommendation must be current.
MILITARY APPLICANTS: You must provide a copy of your DD214 in your submission packet.
Print Your Transcript
Current QVCC students can print your unofficial transcript through myCommNet. High school students need to supply an official copy of their transcript.
Submit Your Documents
To complete your application, you must submit all documents from Step 2 and Step 3. Documents must be submitted together in one envelope to the financial aid office in the Student Success Center in Danielson or to the Willimantic Center Front Desk by March 11, 2016.
|How Scholarships are Awarded|
The scholarship process is a competitive process. All completed scholarship applicants are screened by an impartial committee from the QVCC Foundation.
Scholarship awards are presented at the Foundation's Scholarship Night on Wednesday, May 4, at 5 p.m.
All applicants will receive notification regardless if they will be awarded a scholarship or if they have not been selected this year. Applicants who will be awarded a scholarship will be notified in advance of the ceremony and are required to attend to receive their award.
