QVCC Foundation Scholarships

THE 2024 APPLICATION PERIOD IS NOW CLOSED

Thank you to those who submitted applications. The QVCC Foundation will provide an update on application status in mid-April. 

The QVCC Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships each academic year with the application period open February 1 through mid-March.

Who Can Apply
The QVCC Foundation’s mission is to serve residents of Northeast Connecticut. Scholarship applicants MUST be residents of Northeast CT and CT State Community College Quinebaug Valley MUST be their home college. This includes:
• New, Returning, & Select Graduating
• Self-pay or Financial Aid
• PACT (PACT = Pledge to Advance Connecticut – AKA Free tuition)
• Full Time or Part Time (enrolled in two or more classes)
• Most scholarships require a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Applicants should carefully review individual scholarship criteria

STEP 2: PERSONAL STATEMENT & REFERENCES

*NOTE – All supporting documents must be submitted in ONE packet at the Student Affairs Office at the CT State Community College Quinebaug Valley Danielson Campus – NO LATER THAN NOON on Friday, March 8, 2024

Willimantic students may submit packets at the CT State Community College Quinebaug Valley Willimantic campus on Fridays from 9:00 am to 3:00
pm through March 8, 2024.

STEP 3: TRANSCRIPTS

Official transcripts must be submitted. Current CT State Community College Quinebaug Valley students can submit a copy of their unofficial transcript and may access transcripts through their myCTState Account.
High School students should submit their in-progress transcripts.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

*Only complete if you meet the requirements below*

-All military applicants must provide their DD214.
– All art scholarship applicants must submit a portfolio containing 3-5 pieces of orignial art along with your supporting documents.

Scholarship applicants are screened by an impartial committee from the QVCC Foundation. Scholarships awards are presented at the QVCC Foundation Scholarship Night on Wednesday, May 1 at 5:00 pm. Recipients are notified in advance of the ceremony and are required to attend to receive their awards.
