Kick-Off for QVCC High School Manufacturing Expo on January 10
In partnership with EAMA (Eastern Advanced Manufacturing Alliance), Quinebaug Valley Community College will once again host the 11th Annual High School Manufacturing Expo in May. As the official start of this event, area high schools and partner manufacturing companies will participate in the Expo Kick-Off on Friday, January 10.
This year’s teams include:
H.H. Ellis Technical High School(Danielson) & Putnam Precision Molding (Putnam)
Putnam High School (Putnam) & Web Industries (Dayville)
Quinebaug Middle College High School (Danielson) & Westminster Tool (Plainfield)
Tourtellotte Memorial High School (Thompson) & Foster Corporation (Putnam)
Woodstock Academy (Woodstock) & Linemaster Switch (Woodstock)
This year’s Expo theme, to design and create a model with your host company of a product that improves the quality of life , will enable students to develop a product which adequately represents the varied companies that the students will be working with. The Expo event will culminate with presentation of awards in the demonstrated categories of Documentation, Innovation & Quality, Benefit to Society, Presentation, and Marketing & Displays.
This year’s High School Manufacturing Expo will be held on Thursday, May 22, in the Robert E. Miller Auditorium at QVCC.
