Haitian Fashion & Cultural Extravaganza Will be Held October 27
An evening of Haitian fashion and culture will be held Saturday, October 27, at 6 pm at Killingly High School. Sponsored by QVCC, the SGA, and Roots of Development, the evening will feature music, dancing, a fashion show, as well as other entertainment.
Roots of Development helps impoverished communities in Haiti obtain the resources they need to manage their own development. They promote an alternative approach to rural development by facilitating a process in which they listen to diverse community voices, build on the inherent strength of each, and complete community-driven projects that lead to a more sustainable future.
Admission is $15 and tickets are available at the door.
