ON JUNE 26, START THE MORNING WITH DONUTS FOR DONATIONS
The Baker’s Dozen and WINY radio have teamed up to help the Quinebaug Valley Community College Foundation raise money for its annual Donuts for Donations.
On Thursday, June 26, from 6 to 9 am, members of the Foundation will be on hand at the four Baker’s Dozen locations as well as WINY radio in Putnam to accept donations in exchange for donuts. According to Monique Wolanin, director of college development, “We want to end our fiscal year with a bang. Donuts for Donations is our way of showing the community how much we appreciate its support.”
A donation of $1.00 will get you a donut. Make it $10.00 and you will also get a shout out from WINY on the Morning Show. For a $50.00, you will receive two dozen donuts for you and your office. All donations will help support students at Quinebaug Valley Community College.
The mission of the QVCC Foundation is to raise funds so that all residents of northeastern Connecticut are provided the opportunity to attend QVCC regardless of income, to support educational excellence, technological advancement, and professional development at the College and to serve as the Regional Advisory Council. The Foundation provides over $160,000 every year to the college in the form of scholarships and financial aid.
The Baker’s Dozen is located at 520 Providence Road (Route 6) in Brooklyn, 24 Mashamoquet Road (Route 101) in Pomfret Center, 765 Norwich Road (Route 12) in Plainfield and 2 Village Circle in Moosup. WINY radio is located at 45 Pomfret Street in Putnam.
