Flash Forward Exhibit Opening May 9, 2013
QVCC PHOTOGRAPHY STUDENT CHOSEN FOR FLASH FORWARD FESTIVAL FOR EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHERS Released: May 2, 2013 Quinebaug Valley Community College photography student, Louis Dalterio III, Thompson, CT, has been selected to exhibit his photography as part of the third installment of “Flash Forward Festival Boston”.
The festival is an extension of The Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward Annual Competition for Emerging Photographers from Canada, The United Kingdom and The United States.
The festival consists of ten exhibitions and includes the first annual “Undergraduate Photography Now” exhibition featuring the work of 26 talented student artists from photography programs spanning all of the New England states. Of the students selected, Dalterio is the only student from a community college.
The exhibit is curated by Bruce Myren and Greer Muldowney and runs May 3-20, 2013, Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4pm, at the Boston Architectural College, 951 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02115. The exhibition opening will be held on Thursday, May 9, 6-10 pm.
Dalterio is a graduate of H.H. Ellis Technical High School, a Dean’s List student and student worker in the QVCC Marketing Department. He will be transferring to The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University in the fall to continue his studies in photography.
